ETHEL’S SOFA was featured prior to theatrical features at Regal Cinemas in several U.S. cities via Big Film Shorts. It was also licensed to Metro TV in New York City via Atom Films and featured on prime time Japanese TV periodically for two years.
It screened at the “Third Annual Celebration of Women in Film,” sponsored by Hollywood Shorts in Los Angeles, and was featured as part of American Cinematheque’s “Women in Shorts” program at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles. ETHEL’S SOFA was one of seven short films selected for inclusion for a compilation of shorts in a program hosted by Jason Alexander entitled “Get Into My Shorts.” Filmmaker Deborah Baxtrom was featured on Filmmaking.com as part of the site’s feature, “The New Filmmaking Generation.”
